Drywall Installation

Signing a Contract for Drywall Installation? What Information Should Be Included in the Contract?

Having drywall finishing or drywall installation completed in your home is not something a regular person does multiple times in their lifetime. As such, you may have no idea what type of information needs to be included in your contract with the drywall contractors. Here are a few of the most important elements that should be included in your contract with a drywall installation contractor.

When you are signing a contract for drywall finishing and drywall installation, the contract should always detail what type of drywall is being used. There are different types and different thicknesses of drywall and plasterboard available. The contract should also detail what walls are being installed or finished. If you are having any special finishes completed, such as texturizing or painting, that should be included in the contract. The contract should also state what the expected start and finish day is for completion of the project and what happens if the project is not completed on time. Finally, any type of construction contract should detail the payment agreement. This includes stating how much you are putting down, how much you owe in total, and when payments are due, such as 25 percent on such and such date or full payment due when the project reaches completion.

This helps to provide you with peace of mind and helps to ensure you know what you are signing before you sign it. Call us today to set up an appointment for a free estimate for your drywall needs.
